Louis Leichter practices administrative, health and criminal law with a focus in the area of licensure and license defense. Mr. Leichter advises clients on disciplinary actions and misconduct allegations that range from standard of care issues and boundary violations to chemical dependency. Prior to starting a private practice Mr. Leichter prosecuted criminal crimes as an Assistant County Attorney for Travis County, Texas. After gaining invaluable litigation, negotiation and trial skills Mr. Leichter opened the Law office of Louis Leichter and focused on the representation of individuals accused of white collar felonies and drug offenses. After representing a criminal client in a disciplinary matter, Mr. Leichter turned his attention to the representation of licensed professionals in disciplinary proceedings before their respective licensing boards and administrative agencies. To better serve his clients, Mr. Leichter represents, counsels and advises his clients on contractual agreements and other areas of civil litigation pertinent to their professional practice.
