Suspended Memphis dentist known for attaching “grills”

Updates are in about the Memphis dentist whose professional license was suspended following allegations that he risked the lives of his patients due to poor sanitary practices at his clinic, an article of News Channel 3 reported on July 26.

Reports revealed that Alfred Brown’s dental license was suspended due to possibilities that his patients might contract HIV or hepatitis after investigators found that his clinic was poorly kept. Brown, who was known for installing gold tooth accessories called “grills,” was also alleged of recycling dental crowns on his patients. Brown’s clinic on Lamar Avenue is now closed for further investigations.

Many dental practitioners are left struggling to support their family when their professional licenses are suspended.
