A male psychiatrist in Springfield, Illinois recently had his professional license suspended after he was accused of having sex with one of his female patients, an article by Modern Healthcare reported on January 5.
Reports said Doctor Duttala Obula Reddy, 64, was temporarily suspended from practicing his profession due to allegations that he had sex with a female patient several times, at his office and elsewhere. The female patient, whose name was withheld, was prescribed anti-anxiety drugs and antidepressant medication by Reddy. The doctor, who did not comment on the issue, may contest his suspension in a hearing scheduled this month.
