A Rosalia nurse’s license was recently suspended in connection with at least three patient deaths under her care, the Seattle Times reported on February 22.
The Washington Department of Health said at least nine patients were administered excessive amounts of painkillers under Susan Bowen-Small, causing three to reportedly die due to medication overdoses of strong painkillers. Bowen-Small is facing charges of negligence in handling her patients.
Olympia Nursing Care Quality Assurance executive director Paula Meyer said the evidences against Bowen-Small is enough to revoke her license.
Bowen-Small was given 20 days to make an appeal regarding the charges filed against her.
