Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician who has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in relation to the pop star’s death, is suing the Texas Medical Board to get his medical license back.
According to the Courthouse News Service, Murray agreed to an indefinite suspension of his license if he was convicted, but he says since he is appealing the decision he should still be able to practice medicine.
He argues that the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals states that convictions are not complete until appeals have been decided. Murray is currently serving a four-year sentence in California for prescribing Jackson a powerful sedative.
