An El Paso doctor’s medical license was suspended on Monday after the Texas Medical Board found the man to be operating his practice with a “lack of competence.”
An investigation into the doctor began on June 9th. Investigators discovered that the doctor had over 100 prescription bottles of medications in his office and personal desk. The bottles were labeled with names of several different patients. The doctor admitted that he had pre-signed the prescriptions and kept them in his office.
An employee of the doctor also claimed that he would write prescriptions for her and then ask her to obtain the medication and hand it over to him. The Medical Board stated that the doctor’s license will remain suspended until they can take further action.
