A North Carolina orthopedic surgeon has voluntarily surrendered his medical license to practice in the state following charges that he broke into his neighbor’s Porter’s Neck home.
The doctor submitted the paperwork to the N.C. Medical Board November 3, one day after police charged him with breaking and entering of a home, larceny of a firearm, felony larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle and injury to real property.
At the time of the charges, the doctor was already in Pender County jail in connection with a boat theft in Surf City.
