Doctor arrested for alleged Woodland-area pill mill

Posted on Friday, April 13th, 2012

A doctor and his physician’s assistant have been charged with improperly dispensing prescription drugs from a Woodland-area pain clinic. The 56 year-old doctor and the 63 year-old physician’s assistant were released on Thursday after posting bail.

Local and federal investigators are claiming that the men illegally sold large quantities of addictive, prescription drugs through the Texas Pain & Medical Management clinic. Records show the physician is licensed to operate a pain clinic in the Woodlands and in Friendswood.

Investigators raided the clinic on Wednesday. They are saying that they are looking for evidence of ongoing criminal activity.
