Indiana doctor surrenders license
Posted on Monday, October 18th, 2010
A Bloomington, Indiana doctor surrendered his license this week following accusations of illegally prescribing drugs and committing health care fraud.
The doctor agreed to do so after the Indiana state medical board off his special three-day hearing indefinitely.
Prosecutors expect the trial to begin in U.S. District Court next January.
The doctor also faces charges from the Indiana Attorney Generals office of prescribing drugs that may have led to the deaths of several patients.
