Our Firm
 The Leichter Law Firm is a boutique practice that caters to the legal needs of licensed health care and other professionals and organizations. Our primary practice emphases are in the area of license defense, health law, chemical dependency related legal-medical issues and the criminal defense of health care and other licensed professionals. We are located in downtown Austin –minutes away from the Texas Capital, The Travis County District and County Courthouses, The Austin Federal District Courthouse, The Texas Court of Appeals, The Texas Supreme Court, The Texas Medical Board and the Hobby Building where most of the administrative licensing agencies are headquartered in Texas.
We utilize a team approach to every client matter and because the firm’s attorneys have broad based legal experience we are able to look at the big picture effectively. Firm attorneys have not just been solely Texas Medical Board Staff or Nursing Board Attorneys, but have worked in a variety of capacities during their career. While some firm attorneys have worked for the Texas Medical Board, every attorney has tried numerous cases to a jury as either defense or plaintiff’s counsel. Moreover, because we have experience in medical / professional malpractice and the prosecution and defense of criminal law cases we are able to utilize this broad base of knowledge to assist Client’s who face both complex and routine standard of care or behavior related issues.

We encourage active Client participation in the resolution of Client matters and we utilize secure web based servers so Clients and Experts may access large medical and other records for review and quick turnaround. Our approach to cases varies on the facts, the agency or opposing party involved, Client goals and oftentimes Client culpability. In every sitaution we always inform our Clients as to their options and decribe what the probable result of each decision is likely to be.
